40k goodness…
So hello again from teh fuzzytrouble forests…..
I wanted to take a moment here and speak about another of my little addictions. That being the immense hobby of Warhammer 40K. you may not know this but they have recently handed down from on high a new rulebook version, that is arguably the most innovative and stagnation shaking, maybe even, dare I say……… the best? Alot of thinning out of troublesome mechanic hangups and a whole new way to look at bloody assaults and now with new vehicle ramming! I always thought it silly that you could tank shock but not run some one over…. hehe.
For those of you new to the idea of 40K, maybe even hearing about it for the first time because of the new MMO being planned or maybe you just like playing the Dawn of War franchise (pssst go see http://www.dawnofwar2.com ) it has to be noted that they are coming out with a new beginner box set.
Now I have to tell you that this box set is freaking huge for the price. Yes, the pieces are the snap fit for beginner type, but they are actually insanely detailed. for those of you that got the last set where they first came out with the snap fits… hold your hats because they got better!! The Space Marine commander alone is freakin sweet. They have also switched it from Tyranids to Orks, an interesting move I thought, as I kinda liked it being a set for nids.. something kinda nice in a Starship Troopers kinda way. I do have to admit that I am not a fan of Orks. Though I will admit I liek the new plastics they came out with, the bikes and the trukk especially.
