Haduken!
I am soooo tempted to get the new Street Fighter 4 beat’em up. So many hours spent at the local arcade, quarters lined up on the little edge of the screen announcing my intent to trounce and shoryuken the opposition into next week. My only fear is that the sweet memories are really just aged memory that looks and feels like a nice time, when it really was hell. As a bear grows older I have noticed a tendency to start thinking of my past fun times as a more golden age. Not that I am starting to open conversations with “back in my day”, but I can see the ponderous roots start to grow and reach for rich feeding grounds.
The thick thighed Chun-Li is present (new movie soon too!) as is my fave Ryu and his fiery alter ego Ken. I like the look of the game, my fear being the same for movies I like that have sequels. Usually someone has the stupid idea that everything has to have a new look to the point that ridiculousness might even seem feasible. (Nipples on the Bat-Suit? Someone actually thought that was a good idea.) We’ll have to see how the money gods are feeling here at Fuzzy Trouble. Maybe if I can catch them in a favoring mood I will be able to trounce you on Xbox live. Gonna go get the sacrifices ready………..
