Bear wheeled goodness!
Monkey was out hunting the verdant plains for some collapsible bike prey, and in the process helped a bear obtain new wheels. See her Dad (a great guy btw) heard that a bear had never ridden a bike. And knowing that it would be an activity that we would love to do together, he bought me a bike. Now I love the act and totally appreciate the gesture, but he bike was the Devil in wheeled form. Meant to scourge me and punish me for past sins. It had a wobbly unfix-able banana shaped seat and every bump it hit sent it’s wobbly banana seat straight up into my tender vittles. Not a good time, there are a lot of bumps in Phoenix.
The benevolent Monkey saw this and in her Oracle goodness, convinced me that we should buy a new one that would be easier for me. She did not fold under my protest nor did she wilt in the face of my stubborn streak. And viola, new bear wheels. And a sweet new ride indeed. A Schwinn cruiser rendered in classic lines and a pleasing green color. Monkey loves the battery powered horn.
So there you have it. Monkey loves bear and my vittles. They are now healing, donations are gladly accepted to my “heal the vittles” charity fund.
Since we have moved to Scottsdale, we have discovered a plethora of bike trails ( not pinatas, el guapo). The Bear and Monkey bike coalition has since drawn up plans between our two great nations to explore each and every one of them. You are our witness to said proclamation.
